Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Balbriggan home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Balbriggan.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Balbriggan home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi! My name is Giovanna, and animals have always been an important part of my life. With over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, I understand that every pet has its own personality, routine, and needs. My goal is always to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away.

Over the years, I have cared for pets of different ages, sizes, and temperaments, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets that require extra patience and attention. I am comfortable working with shy or nervous animals and always allow them to build trust at their own pace using calm, positive interactions.

In addition to daily care, I have experience administering oral medications, providing basic post-surgery wound care, monitoring recovery, and following veterinary instructions carefully. I understand how important consistency is, so I always follow your pet’s feeding schedule, medication routine, exercise needs, and any special instructions exactly as requested.

I offer dog walking, home visits, daycare, and overnight pet sitting. Dog walks typically last 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your dog’s age, health, and energy level. During home visits, I provide fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, playtime, enrichment activities, companionship, and lots of affection to ensure your pet feels relaxed and happy.

Communication is one of my priorities. I send daily photo and video updates, so you always know how your pet is doing and can enjoy peace of mind while you’re away. If an emergency ever occurs, I will contact you immediately, follow your instructions, and, if necessary, take your pet to your preferred veterinarian or the nearest emergency veterinary clinic.

Your pet’s safety and well-being always come first. I maintain a clean, safe, and calm environment and carefully supervise pets during walks, playtime, and rest periods. Depending on the service booked, pets are never left alone for extended periods, and I always make sure they have everything they need before I leave briefly.

My availability is flexible, and my up-to-date schedule can always be checked through the Pawshake app, making it easy for you to see when I’m available and book with confidence.

I genuinely treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your companion enjoys long walks, interactive games, quiet cuddles, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’ll provide attentive, loving, and personalized care every step of the way.

I look forward to meeting you and giving your furry family member the same love, patience, and attention they receive at home.

Hi! My name is Ava Lattimore, I am 18 years of age and currently studying in my first year of college.
My motivation to be a pet sitter came from my experience of minding pets, I myself have two dogs but have pet sat for friends and family previously, this pet sitting included dogs, cats and fish. Because I have 2 dogs I know the responsibility of minding and caring for pets and the quality in which the owners are expecting. I have stayed overnight in relatives houses before taking care of their dog Murphy which included feeding and walking . I also completed a two week daily check-in for a cat and 10 fish which included feeding and giving oral medication twice a day. I truly have a passion for animals which came from a young age. I am up for any challenge and I believe I am very adaptable. I'd be free mostly on weekends and Mondays, but can also do short 40 minute walks from 5p.m most weekdays. I myself love walking my dogs on the beach or to a nearby park but I understand the mess that comes with walking on the beach!
