Hi there! I’m Melanie.&nbsp;
Ever since I was a child, dogs have been a major part of my life. Growing up in a household that always cared for dogs, I developed a profound love and respect for them. This passion is what steered me towards pet sitting.
My practical experience in pet care began when I started looking after my brother’s Shar-Peis whenever he was away. This role taught me a lot about the varied demands of different breeds, as well as the importance of maintaining their daily routines. Every pet has its own set of needs and preferences, and meeting these consistently is key to their well-being.
Understanding that pets are most relaxed in their own homes, I chose to provide my pet sitting services exclusively in the client’s residence. This not only helps in reducing their anxiety in the absence of their owners but also keeps them comfortable in their familiar surroundings. Additionally, for the safety and health of all, I only care for vaccinated pets.
Whether it's playing their favourite games, going for walks, or just cuddling on the couch, I make sure your pets are not just looked after, but are genuinely happy and thriving in your absence. My aim is to give you peace of mind so that when you return, you find them as joyful and healthy as you left them.

You should choose me because I walk dogs tall and small often and have never had any issues during those walks. I'm mainly doing this because I love dogs, I think they're special it's so amazing to me that we get to spend time with these creatures and connect with them. They're a human’s best friend. &nbsp;
My Procedure&nbsp;
I prefer to meet up with the dog to see if we are a match and can get on well on a walk. Preferably walking just one dog at a time or maximum 2 so that I can provide the best service and avoid your pet not getting the attention required of a dog walker. &nbsp;
I only walk dogs, no other pets.
About Me&nbsp;
I'm 28 years old, I work in a law firm in Deansgrange. I'm finishing up my degree, and hope to move onto becoming an actual solicitor, right now I'm a Legal Assistant.&nbsp;
My hobbies include reading books, drawing and gaming.&nbsp;
Relevant Experience&nbsp;
I've worked as a manager of large retail stores and therefore I'm used to having a lot of responsibility and ensuring the stores are looked after and ensuring it remains safe. So, I'm well able to deal with any crisis' that could possibly occur. Again, I've never had any issues but I'm really cool calm and collected in an emergency and have friends and family nearby that can very easily drive me to the vet with your pet should that be necessary in a moment’s notice.&nbsp;
I also used to work in a pet store so I've looked after reptiles, birds and other animals, though I preferto keep it to dogs. &nbsp;
I have had a few dogs in my lifetime, I still have 2 but my parents own them and they love being with my little brothers so I didn't take them to Dublin as that would upset them.
What I Offer&nbsp;
· A 30 Minute to 1 Hour walk for your dog.&nbsp;
· A handmade treat for them for after the walk or before it depends on the owner’s preference.&nbsp;
· A walk on the beach, a park nearby, or indeed just for a general walk along the street.&nbsp;
· I collect the dog from your house unless you would prefer to drop them to me and either I can drop them home or you collect them. I do prefer to collect them and drop them off from your house though, as it will make the dog feel safer. &nbsp;
· My own poo bags.&nbsp;
· Access to fresh water should they need it before, during or after the walk.&nbsp;
· Any illness or injury reported to owner if that occurs.&nbsp;
· Happy to give medications if needed.&nbsp;
· Trip to vet if needed.&nbsp;
· Feeding pet before or after if needed.&nbsp;
· 1 photo of your pet on our walk so that you know it's happy.&nbsp;
· If you're out while I'm collecting the key you left out for me will be in the spot you left it in.&nbsp;
· No off lead unless requested by owner.&nbsp;
