Student Veterinary Nurse with University College Dublin and a qualified Animal Care Assistant with a Certificate in Canine First Aid. I am currently employed as an Animal Care Assistant with a Veterinary Clinic. I help look after all the Clinic inpatients as well as assisting the Vets and Nurses. Before Covid-19, I spent 5 years working in a boarding kennels. I have 5 dogs and 3 cats of my own. I have a habit of rescuing stray dogs and cats and getting them new homes, so definitely have a soft spot for animals of all kinds. At present, I look after a friends 2 dogs and 1 cat while she is away, a cousins dog and an old neighbours 2 dogs and 1 cat while they are away. I would prefer to mind your pets in your home as any pets health, safety and welfare would be at the forefront of my priority and as I have a large number of animals, I would not want your pet being overwhelmed by coming to stay in my house and getting stressed. Dogs must be vaccinated (Annual Booster and Canine Cough) for their protection while out walking and for interacting with other dogs, specifically for puppy socialisation (with owners consent of course). Cats must also be vaccinated (Annual Vaccines) to protect them. It is also to protect my own pets too. Would also be preferable if Cats and Dogs would be up to date with Flea and Worm treatment, but it is not essential. I would like to be a Pet Sitter as I know many Cats and Dogs do not like or do not do well in a kennel environment so getting them minded in their own home makes them more comfortable as their comfort is of paramount importance and always would be a top priority for me.
