I believe that animals are a huge part of the family and should be treated as such.
My love for animals started early on when I was 7, I got my first dog Sandy. He was a cross between a Labrador and a golden retriever, he was my best friend and walked through life with me until I was 16.
Then Muttley graced my life, he had big boots to fill and boy did he fill them. A thorough bred golden retriever, he is now the ripe old age of 17. To say that I am grateful for every day he shares with me on this earth is an understatement. He is my baby and there is nothing I wouldn't do for him. ❤️
8 years ago, my dad brought home the beautiful Bailey - also a golden retriever pup. He stayed with me in my home for a few months while I house trained him and he now lives with my parents but loves to come and stay with me and Muttley while they are on holidays.
In 2017, my grandfather passed away and I took in his 6 year old Labrador Shep. After introducing him to Muttley (slowly) they got on great and were great company for eachother. Shep was a beautiful soul and it broke my heart to say goodbye to him in March of 2021. It gives me comfort knowing that I gave him the very best of care, love and attention while I was blessed to have him with me.
I believe that animals are a blessing, they provide a loyalty, love and therapy that cannot be gained from any other source. They are vulnerable creatures that need to be cared for in the best way possible. It's the least they deserve. ❤️🐾
