About Sophie
I am a complete animal lover with a lot of experience caring for and owning animals. I am an experience horse rider, having spent multiple days a week throughout my childhood and adult years in stables riding and caring for horses. I also spent a summer in America as a groom and horse trainer/ riding instructor at a children's sleepaway camp. More recently I have fostered 4 dogs from a Dublin based animal charity 'Working Animal Guardians' who place their rescues in foster homes in lieu of having their own shelter. 3 of our dogs were successfully placed in loving homes and one of the stayed within the family, being adopted by my own Mam. Fostering is the most rewarding experience in the world, despite being emotionally challenging. I feel my experience with this has shown me how incredible it can be to nurture and love an animal even when they are not yours, and I am committed to providing love and comfort to all animals in my care ❤️ Furthermore, I grew up on a farm surrounding by all kinds of animals, big and small and am comfortable around a wide variety of animals. I can adapt easily to different animal personalities given my experience and am happy to care for both rambunctious large animals and smaller animals! I am a physiotherapist by career and in that vein, love physical activity, so I am happy to walk any dogs as long as they are comfortable with. My foster experience has also given me a good knowledge of signs to look out for if an animal becomes unwell, as often our foster dogs come to us in poor condition. My own dog also has a health condition which requires coordinated medication provision to keep him happy and healthy, so I am also comfortable administering any medications needed to your lovely pets❤️ I look forward to the opportunity to meet your pets and hope you will choose me as an option to provide their care! My services include, dog walking, checking in on your dogs in their own environment or staying with them in your home. At present I cannot offer dog boarding as one of my dogs resource-guards 💚
