About Isadora
Hello, my name is Isadora, but you can call me Dora! I'm from Brazil, and I'm 25 years old. In Brazil, besides working as an animal caretaker, I am also a lawyer.
I arrived in Galway in December 2022, and I came to study English for 8 months.
I decided to register to work at Pawshake, because, I have dogs in my house, since I can remember! I grew up surrounded by animals, I had cats and dogs, and it made me create a love for these beings!
In my parents' house, I currently have 6 dogs, who are not just pets, but members of the family. Because I have lived with them all my life, I know how to treat them with respect and love and my dogs are the best part of me!
I have 6 puppies, 4 of them are small sized shitzu puppies, one is a larger dog, a Border Collie and Belgian Shepherd mix and one is a large puppy of undefined breed. By having puppies of different breeds and sizes, I have experience in caring for them while respecting the individuality of each one!
In Brazil, I worked for 4 years in a job similar to this one, in which I received the dogs in my flat, so that their guardians could work or travel! The dogs lived in my house during the necessary time and I treated them as if they were mine, but respecting the orientation given by the guardians, keeping the dogs within the feeding and walking routine, and when necessary I applied oral medication.
With this job I had contact with several breeds, applying my experience with the puppy caretaker.
Here in Galway, I live in a quiet neighbourhood, near the Lake, with lots of grass and green area to walk the dogs, play and run with them, so they have fun and spend energy!
The contact with dogs itself, makes me feel very good, they are a great company, and I am happy to be with them. I feel an immense love for animals in general, but I have an extra affection for dogs.
Currently, moving to Ireland, I am away from my dogs, and with this job, I will have the opportunity to have a little more contact with animals and I am sure that all my experience and affection, will also do them good! 💛
