Since graduating from Athlone Institute of Technology in 2017 with a BSc in Veterinary Nursing, I have worked as a registered Veterinary Nurse in various small animal clinics across Dublin. As a Veterinary Nurse, my areas of interest are animal husbandry and medical nursing. I treat each and every one of my patient's with the utmost care and attention, as this is how I would want my own to be cared for.
Since 2011, I have volunteered with various animal charities. I have fostered many cats, dogs and small furries over the years. Sometimes injured strays come into my vet clinic and I am always happy to give them a place to stay and the care they need until they find their feet again. Some of them stole my heart and became family over the years, most of them go on to find their happy ending with a new family.
I have always been passionate about animals. Growing up with dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits and hamsters, I developed a love for all animals. I adore wildlife just as much as pets, I believe all animals should be treated with respect. Currently I am the proud Mammy of three dogs, two cats and three ex-battery chickens. All of them have been adopted or found stray, they each have stories to tell. I am under no illusion, I know from my own experience that adopted animals can have many issues. I've had a few colourful characters over the years! However, I love them just the same and appreciate that they are that way for a reason.
As a pet sitter, I am happy to care for all animals. With my nursing experience, I can take care of any medical needs such as administering medication. I will treat your pets with the love and care that I would want for my own pets. Leaving your pets in the care of another person can be stressful and my goal is to make it stress free. We can have a chat and work out what works best for you and your pet/pets. I am happy to accomodate all situations.

Niamh was absolutely brilliant with my rescue dog Milly whilst I was away. I would recommend Niamh highly, I will definitely book Niamh again if she’s available. Milly loved her and it was great to know my dog was well cared for, thanks very much Niamh
