I have always had animals growing up such as dogs, fish, rabbits and guinea pigs and have rescued them all which meant that they all needed a bit more love and care which evidently lead me to realise that I love being there for animals whether their nervous, scared, sad or even just home sick. I'm doing my leaving cert in 2025 and will be 19 on the 22/06/2006. I am hoping to study veterinary nursing in college next year and have completed over 60 hours of animal work experience. In 2023 I completed a weeks work experience in the pet hospital in Waterford. I have also been helping out on a dairy farm every week for over a year. This experience includes calving cows, milking cows and feeding calves which is definitely a piece of cake compared to trying to bring my rabbit inside from the garden for the night. I also completed a day of the summer vet school programme at ucd on the 25/06/2024. I have been asked to mind animals for friends neighbours and family. Which ranged from dogs/puppies, and a dog in need of medication and physio excersises for 14 days ,to rabbits, fish, birds and even a turtle. So it's safe to say I love animals and especially love to care for them until their family comes back home.
