Maggie

Hello! My name is Maggie, I'm based in Ballsbridge, and I am currently in my second year of veterinary medicine at UCD. I have always loved animals and grew up having dogs. I spent the summer dog sitting and dog walking in addition to doing vet school placements, and am looking to continue working throughout the academic year. I have experience with and am able to care for animals of all shapes and sizes as I have worked in a small animal clinic for 5 years and have done extensive placements for veterinary school. I will be scheduling around my school timetable so will be most available after 5:30 pm during the week and all day on weekends and bank holidays.

I have an academic background in animal training in addition to veterinary medicine, so I am comfortable with any medical needs or behavioral quirks your pet may have (I have the ability to administer meds and work on training). I am also working towards becoming fear free certified. It is my goal to build a relationship with your pets so they have fun and feel safe when I visit. I also understand the importance of your pets schedule and aim to stick as closely as possible to what they are used to. I am comfortable with animals of all sizes, ages, and breeds! I promise to treat your pets as if they were my own!

I typically spend 30-45 min with your pet either in your home or on a walk but can spend up to an hour with them when my schedule allows. I also love to send pictures and updates to you after my visit. As stated previously, I like to stick as close to your pet's routine as possible, so I will follow a familiar route for walks. If your pet does not have a regular route, I like to find a park or green area near your home. I am also able to water plants, bring in mail, or any other little things you may need. I'm fairly flexible and am willing to work with you and your pet to best fit your needs!
