Hi my name is Shakarah, and I am an ANIMAL LOVER!
My aim is provide a feeling of security and confidence with your pets so that they feel safe and loved despite missing their owners
I have grown up around dogs, cats, poultry, sheep and goats, and pride myself on investing my time, attention and care to each individual animal that I am responsible for. It is extremely important to me that I form a bond with the pet, and gain their trust and love, so that I can give them the best care possible.
I love walking dogs, playing games, and giving lots of snuggles!
I am open to minding other animals including cats and smaller furry pets too, but for pets like ferrets, rodents, rabbits etc I would require detailed information on their care as I don't have any personal experience yet.
I have done pet/house sitting on multiple occasions, for homes with various pets, including sheep! I will also water your plants if that is something required 😊. I am extremely conscious of aiming to stick to whatever schedule/routine your pet is already accustomed to (feeding and exercising/walking, sleep habits etc) so any details you can provide are much appreciated!
Growing up on a farm and raising sheep means I am alert to any noises that might start in the middle of the night.
This has been extremely helpful for matters like house training puppies or being aware of any disturbances like sudden health issues. You can guarantee with me that I will take the best care of your pet and will be alert to any changes in health or temperament that may need to be addressed.
I also recognise the importance of making pets feel loved and secure when there owners are not around so that they thrive rather than get stressed. You will get multiple updates and photos of your babies while you're away!

Shakarah took care of my dog, Marvin, for a weekend and did an amazing job. I couldn't have asked for a better person to take care of him. Her communication was perfect, she sent many updates and photos/videos!! She adapted perfectly to Marvin's schedule and was able to accommodate walking him in more secluded areas. My mind was at ease knowing my pup was is such good hands. Looking forward to our next booking 😀
Once again an excellent service from Shakarah. She is lovely to deal with and is kind, thoughtful and caring towards our dogs. She gives us regular updates during her stay which is especially reassuring as one of our dogs is elderly and on medication. Our house was also left in immaculate condition once again.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Shakarah to anyone.
