Rebecca

Hey there, my name is Rebecca! I'm a 25 year old seasoned pet sitter and lover of animals. I am currently taking a pause in my studies to become a vet in Bristol and am living in Galway.

I have lots of great experience with a variety of animals, from small furries, cats and dogs, horses, to sheep and cattle! This comes from being involved with animals forever, but especially through my veterinary training.

As part of my training I have been involved in both the cattery and and dog shelter of the Galway SPCA, where I cared for dogs and cats from all backgrounds. I also worked closely with rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, and rescued my colleagues from a loose ferret once! This experience really developed my confidence in working with and handling cats and dogs with challenging personalities and difficult backgrounds. I discovered a love of sighthounds in particular and hope to adopt a greyhound in the future.

I am taking a break from my studies this year due to some health difficulties but would love to stay closely involved with animals and pet owners during this time. I would love to get as much hands on experience and fluffy cuddles as possible!

I am open to caring for almost any species, except for snakes (sorry!), but the majority of my experience is with cats and dogs. I would be keen to build a caring and trusting relationship with any pet I care for and strive for respectful and honest communication with pet owners.
