I completed studying Animal Care and plan on becoming a zookeeper in the future. I have completed a Canine First Aid course and know how to act in an emergency situation as well as how to give Canine CPR. I am currently in my second year of studying Zoology in UCC. I volunteered at the SPCA and enjoy caring for animals. I have two cats of my own aswell as a rabbit and dog. I have cared for cats, dogs, bunnies and guinea pigs. I also have experience dog sitting an elderly pair of labradors who had arthritis in their knees. I administered medication for one and did multiple checks on them daily. I have also completed work experience in a veterinary clinic where I helped the nurses and vets look after the animals in their care as well as clean up after surgeries. I have had my own dogs before and know how to look after and train them. I enjoy being with animals and am good working with them. I am able to administer medications if required and can work with them if being trained. I would appreciate if you considered me to look after your pets as this would also help me gain some experience for college. I believe that pets are family members and should be treated as so.
