Hello! My name is Alice, I am 28 years old. I was born in Dublin and lived in the countryside of Wicklow for my whole life.
I am extremely passionate about animals and have had dogs and cats for my whole life! I studied for BA in Psychology in UCD and then went travelling and became qualified as a yoga teacher and began working as an English language teacher in places such as Thailand and Indonesia. I also have a diploma in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from The University of Edinburgh.
I returned to Ireland to complete my Masters education in Global Mental Health. I have taken a step back from teaching full time in order to pursue my Masters. I am currently working with a mental health charity in Ireland, and all of my work is from home so I do not need to be out of the house for long hours.
I love animals, especially dogs and thoroughly enjoy meeting new ones. I becamse very accustomed to understanding the needs and attitudes of new dogs whilst volunteering with the multiple animals welfarre agencies, particularly, in south-east Asia and through previous pet sitting roles. In Thailand in particular I have fostered multiple stray dogs until they have found a new permanent home, I have also fostered puppies waiting for adoption through the DSPCA.
I have done a lot of house sitting previously so am very accustomed to looking after people's houses and its always a bonus for me when there are beautiful pets to look after as well.
