FULL TIME CANINE CARETAKER / WALKER

With over 3 years of experience working in a professional setting with dogs, I am confident that I am able to provide your dog with the correct enrichment & daily activity it needs while you are away.

A little bit about me:

Hi, my name is Ligita. I have lived around animals on my grandmother's land since I was a child. When I moved to Ireland, I dog sat for friends & family throughout the years, but my full interest began in 2023, when I did my QQI Level 5 in Animal Care Assistance (ACA) and then proceeded with my QQI Level 6 in Animal Science in 2024. 

Combined between the both courses I learned grooming, canine behaviour, animal welfare, canine obedience & training and much more! Learning this helps me understand how to take care of dogs to the best of my ability providing them with the care they need. I have also worked at the Runamutt Doggy Daycare for over a year which helped me gain more skills with different dogs.

What I offer:

Daily walks, de-shed, light grooming, crate training (additional cost), lead training (additional cost), enrichment activities.

On weekends I offer long hikes through different locations (at an additional cost) 2-4h walk depending on the selected location on the weekend. For these hikes, multiple dogs will be walked; therefore, your dog must get along with other dogs & must be lead-trained. This service is good for bigger dogs especially to get that extra energy out.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that I own a cat I am unable to provide services at my own home.

Note:

Training results are not immediate. It can take up to 6 months (more / less) to train a dog depending on the breed, temperament, age etc and up to 2 years (more / less) for a rescue dog therefore daily training practice is essential.
