Hey 👋🏼 My name is Steve, and currently I am a remote data analyst and freelance graphic designer.

I have been passionate about many types of animals my whole life. My own dog, Arrow, is a Siberian Husky, which I never put in a kennel due to my fear she wouldn’t get the care she needed while I was on a holiday. This makes me very passionate about giving your dog the best care while you’re away. I have a certificate in dog grooming from Barker & Bows with experience calling to homes for friends who tried some fun hairstyles on their dogs. I offer dog grooming on request, but this would be an extra charge for any services past a wash and shampoo. Large/medium vaccinated dogs or small dogs vaccinated and comfortable with large dogs will be able to stay in my home. I have experience with dogs with very difficult behaviour issues, for example, fear or aggression. I can house sit any dog in an owner's home.

I will house sit cats as well, but this can only be at the owners home as my dog is not cat friendly. I grew up with stray cats who I would care for with some sleeping in my room with me when I was young, but I haven’t been in the position to own a cat. In the future, I plan to own a cat of mine. I am happy to say I can offer reptiles sitting in both my home and in the owners house. I have four years experience in reptile care.

My current job is remote, which affords me the ability to give full supervision at all times a dog, reptile, or cat is in my care. My job also gives me the freedom to make home calls around my schedule. I have pet-sit for friends and family in the past, which gives me the experience to provide a high standard of care.

My services will include dog walking, home visits, and overnight stays at the owners home or at my home under the restrictions I have. I can do everything requested: administering medication, feeding and watering, walking, playtime, full range of grooming, watering plants, and sending regular photo updates of your pet. I am open-minded to any task, even unusual, to make sure you and your pet are the happiest they can be.

I am offering my services to this app to try to make it easier for pet owners who don't want to place their pets in kennels, leave them alone for a long period of time, or can't physically exercise their dog to get the care they need. My motivation for this job is not only my passion for many animals but also my abilities to handle difficult behaviour in dogs and give reptile owners someone they can trust to care for their little one when they want a holiday.
