About us (Jin & Sam)

I (Jin) am a native Chinese who’d been living in Japan for 10 years.
I met Sam in Feb 2016 in Cork, Ireland at work.
Sam is from Martinique (an overseas region of France) and he was growing up with dogs, he is very good with dogs.
We started working holiday together in New Zealand, Canada, and Australia, and we have a lot of experience with animals.
We moved back to Dundalk, Ireland in 2019 for work and will stay in Ireland for a few years.

I am outgoing and get along with most people, Sam likes staying at home and he likes cleaning.
We have experience with Dogs, Cats, Alpacas, Donkeys, Goats, Peacocks, Turkeys, Chickens, Ducks, Owls, Rabbits, Birds, Fish, and Hamsters.
We both love nature and animals, we will take care of your house like our own house and take care of your pets like our friends.

We have our own car and as we work remotely we are willing to travel anywhere to housesit.

When completing the profile we just realized in the past 6 years, we housesat for at least 30 dogs.

Why we want to house sit

We would like to see and feel the local culture of the places we will be traveling to.
We don't like just sightseeing and taking pictures. If we can live in a local house, and talk to the local society, then we get to learn the most of it.
We like animals, like nature, and would like to spend some relaxing time in a lovely home.
We will take care of any home like our own home.
After house-sitting for a few families, we really miss the company of animals. 

Our experience 

I lived in Dundalk, Ireland with an Irish Family in 2015 for a short time, and helped to take care of a lovely Jack Russell and her 4 puppies. 

We (Jin and Sam) helped on an organic farm in Owen Sound near Toronto and enjoyed house sitting in Vancouver from June to August 2016 in different areas (A farm on Vancouver Island, and a house in Vancouver city).

On the farm on Vancouver Island, we were taking care of 3 dogs, 2 cats, 7 alpacas, 2 goats, 7 turkeys, 3 peacocks, 2 roosters for 3 weeks. 

We also house sat for a lot of dogs and cats in Perth, Australia from 2017 to 2018:
Buddy, a very loving Maltese;
Rippy and Bella, 2 Italian Greyhounds;
Pav, an Irish Wolfhound – mix;
Dasher, a Bearded Collie;
Bruce, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier;
Sev, a kelpie;
Asha, a Black retriever;
Jessie and Emm, 2 Shih Tzu Maltese Mix;
Peewee, an adorable cat

Since we came back to Ireland, we have done housesitting for 6 families (through another platform which we have many 5-star reviews).

As we explained in the profile, we have our own car and work remotely so we are willing to house-sit anywhere in Ireland.
