I'm an animal lover with a lot of experience taking care of house pets and a good understanding and awareness of animal behaviour. I'm a BA and masters graduate and began working for Pawshake about four years ago during my time in university. I work for the website on a part time basis while I continue some online studies and separate work outside the website including petsitting that I do privately.
I am from Dublin and know the county quite well. I studied in Trinity College Dublin and am originally from Rathfarnham. I have experience looking after dogs, cats, rodents and reptiles. I have worked as part of the dog kennel team in the Dublin SPCA and have also spent time as a regular volunteer helping with the adoption process and care of cats and dogs in the shelter.
Some clarifications on services:
I've always been amazed at how intelligent and intuitive animals can be so I really love working with them and being a part of their world. Cats are endlessly entertaining and whimsical as well as great to cuddle or play with while Dogs are so much fun to be around and care for. I really enjoy walking them too. Should you need a petsitter on a regular basis or if you're looking for someone to watch your dog and/or other pets while you're away or on holiday, don't hesitate to get in touch.
At this moment in time I am car-less so will be travelling via public transport (which is not a problem but you should keep in mind if you are requesting several home visits throughout the day)
Please note I am not a medical professional but have lots of experience taking care of pets
Marie looked after Bruno for us and it went really well :) It was great to know we were leaving him in safe hands, will definitely book Marie again.
Marie has taken great care our cocker spaniel when she has stayed in our home, and he is always delighted to see her for walks. I would happily recommend Marie
I'm an energetic, enthusiastic person which goes down well with dogs and I've good attention to detail so I'm good at keeping a watchful eye on pets in the house.
I am familiar with lots of dog training techniques and have a great understanding of cats.
I really enjoy walks and would be more than happy to take your pet out as often as needs be. I understand that animals need more than just basic care, particularly cats and dogs so I would make the effort to take care of both their practical and psychological needs. I have experience with my own pets and I'm an occasional volunteer at the Dublin SPCA where I help with the adoption process and care of cats and dogs. If you'd like to know more about me, just drop me a line! Unfortunately,
I am not in a position to care for your dog in my own home but would be happy to work from your home or outside of it.
