Would me and your dog be a good fit?

I absolutely adore dogs! I grew up in the States with a dog in my own family home and loving on the dogs at my neighbors and friends' homes. I spent many weekends and holidays over the years looking after the two springer spaniels to the home on my right and the two golden retrievers and two cats at another home to my left. If I was not looking after those pups and cats, I was looking after my own family dog as we took walks through our neighborhood filled with a variety of shades of Labradors and German Shepherds. After my childhood dog passed a couple months ago (may she rest in peace) at the ripe old age of 17(!!!) I have decided that I would love to fill my daily schedule sharing my love and enthusiasm for dogs in the community!

Though daylight is rather limited at this moment, I do love a long walk outside and would love to have a buddy join me for these outdoor adventures. Thought I do not have any formal dog training qualifications myself, I have always been highly regimented in my interactions with dogs. My approach is firm yet patient, I do not tolerate bad behavior and am quick to reward good behavior either with consistent verbal affirmation/pets or treats. 

I take all forms of dogs and cats, please feel free to inform me of any special conditions your fur baby may have! Whether your dog is shy or outgoing, I am always observing what pace your dog would feel comfortable beginning at. As I understand it, bonds with animals are not spontaneously formed, but rather take patience and work over time.

When you book with me I will send an intake for your fur baby. Included are questions about your pup/cat and their individual needs.

SERVICES

Walks: (60 minutes)

We have a few different places as possible options, usually weather dependent. These include: Herbert Park, Sandymount Beach, Ringsend Park, and River Dodder. I tend to make the walks a large loop!

I offer a custom bespoke schedule for you and your fur baby's needs. Pick up and drop off (by myself) are not included in the time of the walk, ensuring your pup receives an hour of exercise. Solo walks and group walks are available on request, though I would like to first establish your pup's temperament before any group interactions.

Training Walks: 

Please note that this type of solo walks will be entirely training focused. If there are certain training goals you want to achieve or foundational training you would like me to revisit, I am happy to discuss what you would like these training walks to specifically focus on.

Water and treats also provided!

Drop-In Visits: (30 minutes)

Does your furry loved one need a quick visit? Sometimes given the age or health of a dog, or even your daily schedule, a drop in visit to your home is required. I am happy to pop in to your dog or cat and ensure they are taken out to the bathroom and given some extra cuddles before you arrive home!

I also have previous experience administering medicinal tablets and syrups to dogs AND cats, this service is available on request.
