Hi, my name is Sylvie, I’m 34 years old and originally from Germany. I live in a cozy cottage near Herbert Park and would love to support you with your dog, whether that’s for a long afternoon or evening walk, or full pet sitting during the day or over a weekend. My own dog Merlin is five years old and was a stray from Hungary. With a lot of love, patience, and consistent training, he has grown into a confident and happy dog who loves playing in the park. I have years of experience with dogs and a strong understanding of their body language, needs, and personalities. I would love for Merlin to have some dog friends around and to gradually learn how to be part of a pack, as I plan to rescue more dogs in the future and I want him to learn how to share his space and bond with others.

I work remotely from home, which allows me to give Merlin and any guest dogs plenty of attention throughout the day. I offer dog walking sessions that last between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the dog's age and energy level, and I go on at least three walks per day. I also provide full-day or overnight boarding and can administer oral medication if needed. I do not offer professional training or grooming, but I use positive reinforcement in my care. I only board one dog at the same time to ensure that your dog receives the attention and calm environment he/she deserves. During boarding, dogs are never left alone for more than a short period of time (groceries), and during daycare, I supervise them almost continuously, with only short absences if necessary.

My home is quiet and dog-friendly with a patio where dogs can safely play and explore. Guest dogs are allowed to sleep wherever they feel comfortable, whether that’s in their own bed, in the living room, or in the guest room.

My motivation to become a pet sitter comes from my genuine love for dogs and the joy I find in their companionship. I want to support other dog owners while giving Merlin the chance to grow socially. Also, as a pet owner, I know the struggle of finding a place for your dog when you dont have the time.
