Hi! I'm Caitriona, I'm 25 and I'm currently in my final year studying Veterinary Medicine at UCD. I live in Knocklyon with my family, my dog Winnie, and my tortoise Speedy. Winnie and I love walking up in the mountains, down on the beach in Wexford and around Marlay Park! I'm a huge animal lover and currently spend most of my free time on placement for college in various vet clinics, and also enjoy volunteering with wildlife projects. I am passionate about conservation and animal welfare, and I am a real believer in positive reinforcement and treating your pets like part of the family.
I am comfortable with all types of pets. We have always had dogs in our house, and in the past have owned hamsters, budgies and fish. I encounter animals of all shapes and sizes regularly in college and on placement, and I am more than capable and happy to work and play with cats, small dogs and big dogs, including restricted breeds. I am fully up to date on the handling and husbandry of all small furries, so I'd love to look after rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, or anything you may have! I have my own pet Hermann's tortoise and have also completed an elective module on exotic animals including reptiles, birds and fish, involving practical handling classes and husbandry, so don't be afraid to ask about your weird and wonderful pets.
I have my own car, so I am happy to travel short distances. I am a full-time student but I am available in the evenings and at weekends, and during some afternoons! I am also happy to do overnight pet sitting any weekday or weekend. I will of course keep you updated about how your pet is doing, with lots of photos! Please get in touch if you have any questions!
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
Caitriona took fantastic care of our two cats whilst we were away for a few nights. She kept us up to date and sent through photos as well. She really went the extra mile to look after them and we returned home to two very happy cats!
We were so fortunate to have Caitriona looking after our beloved cat Patrick while we were on holidays.
