My name is Lorena and I am a Secondary School Teacher based in Walkinstown, Dublin 12. I have always loved animals and would love to care for your pet! I have grown up having family pets. I had my own dog for 17 years ( a Terrier/Pomeranian mix named Diesel) but he sadly passed away in 2020. Since then, I have spent a lot of time caring for my sister's dog (the Cavalier King Charles pictured) and my Granny's dog (the Golden Retriever pictured). This includes feeding them, playing with them and taking them for lots of walks. As I am a teacher, I don't currently have any pets as I wouldn't like to leave them alone during the day during the school year. However, as I am free during the summer I can give a dog my full attention until September and during the weekends after. As I work on Fridays, I can take your pet after 4pm.

Pet sitting in my own home: I live in a 3 bed terraced house with a fully secured fenced back yard. I also live very close to two local parks, Walkinstown local park and Tymon Park (which has a dog park). I have no other pets in my home. Your pet will sleep in the sitting room downstairs. During the day, when we are not out for walks, they will stay in the house with me. As I am a teacher and off for the summer, your pet won't be left alone. My partner, Kevin, lives with me and is also a teacher. He also has a lot of experience with dogs, having cared for greyhounds since a young age. He will usually also be available for a meet and greet. I will send you as many updates as you wish and will send you photos and videos of how your pet is getting on. I only accept pets who have their relevant vaccinations. I am happy to provide medication to your pet (once given the appropriate instruction). I can board up to two pets at a time (owned by the same owner). As I work on Fridays, I can take your pet after 4pm.

Dog walking: For both walks and dogsitting, I will engage, play and take photos to send to you of your pets. I will be sure to check in with you regarding your pet's needs and will agree in advance the lengths of the walk that your pet needs and how many times a day that you'd like them to be walked. I am a very active person, who regularly walks and runs in the local parks (Walkinstown and Tymon park) as well as hikes, so having a dog with me would be even better.
