I am Laura, an independent dog walker, pet and house-sitter but most of all, a big animal lover!

I care for your animal while you're busy, away for work or holidays, whether that's for an hour walk or a couple weeks! Spending time with animals is my safe place, it's where I am at my happiest!

I care about your pet well-being and ensure they get what they need: whether it's a long walk, an enrichment time at your home or a cuddle on the sofa. 

I love all animals and I am happy to care for exotic animals as well as farm animals - for those I am unfamiliar with, I will make sure to educate myself ahead as well as follow your instructions.

Dog walking: The 20 euro fee is for an hour-long walk. 

• I come grab your dog(s) on foot or with my car before we go for a great walk in the forest, at the dog park where they can have unleashed time, or on the beach. I also like to explore local parks, but I have a soft spot for natural spaces.
  If your animal prefers a shorter route, just let me know!
• Ideally, I like walking as a small pack (max. 4 dogs), which is great for your animal to socialise and exercise. However at this time, my walks are highly likely to only include your pet(s), I will let you know ahead if a walk might include other animals.

Pet minding: I can either do drop-ins or stay at your home. 

• Drop-ins: During the visit, I not only feed the animal and clean their living space, but also adapt my time based on their needs: walk, playtime, enrichment... 
• House-sit: On top of what's offered during drop-ins, I'll have extra time during the day to spend with your pet(s) at home. Making sure they feel as comfortable as they would if you were here. I can follow your routine and I will be there overnight too. Depending on your animal needs, we can restrict how many hours at once I can be away from the house.
  

Experience: 

• For the past 8 years, I've had a lot of pet minding and house sitting experience (via other platforms), from remote farms, gumboots on - rearing calves and pet-sitting working dogs, pet cows, and a multitude of chickens - to caring for pooches in the city centre, or guinea pigs, elderly cats and pet parrot in the countryside! 
• I have experience training and working with a successful Dog Walker/Sitter business in Auckland, NZ (Tails and Trails), and a keen interest in dog training and animal psychology. 
• I've volunteered multiple years with the equivalent of the CSPCA in France (SPA) as well as with the RSPCA in Australia. My duties included: walking shelter dogs, enrichment time with dogs and cats.
• I have shared my life for many years with rats, often misunderstood, they are fantastic animals. As a volunteer of an animal welfare charity (Association Alma), I also lived with dogs (puppies and adults) and cats as a foster family, while they were waiting for their forever family. During that time, I was able to practice house and social training with both the puppies and adult dogs that had limited experience of living in a home or in a city.
