Hi, I’m Gabriel 😊

I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my entire life, and caring for animals has always been second nature to me. Over the years, I’ve cared for a variety of breeds including Collie, German Shepherd, Yorkshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Husky, Labrador, Jack Russel, French Bulldog, Chow Chow and mixed breeds, as well as three cats we had and other cats I looked after. I’ve also rescued and rehomed animals and support local animal welfare groups both in Ireland and in my home country, Brazil. As a teenager, I worked as a dog walker in my area, a lot of hands-on experience with dogs of different sizes and temperaments. I’m comfortable with energetic dogs, shy pets and strong breeds. I believe animals respond best to steady, positive loving energy. My priority is to make your pet feel safe and relaxed when they are with me.

When pets stay with me, I'll follow your instructions regarding their routine and how they're used to things being done. This includes feeding times, walks, rest and any other specific instructions you provide. Routine helps animals feel settled and secure when they're away from home and not with their families. I am able to host one pet, dog small or medium breed, or a cat. I can accommodate more pets at the one time so long as they already live together or are used to each other. I provide a calm environment, exercise compatible with their energy level, and attentive, structured care. Safety is always a main priority. I use secure walking routes, double-check leads and doors, and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment at home. I only accept vaccinated pets for stays in my home to ensure everyone’s wellbeing. You can expect regular updates, photos throughout the booking.

In the case of an emergency, I will contact you immediately and take appropriate steps. I live a 10 minute drive away from UCD Veterinary Hospital. I act quickly, responsibly and always with your pet’s safety as the first priority. I understand how important trust is when choosing someone to care for your pet. I'm here to treat them like they are my own and to provide attentive care so you can have complete peace of mind while you’re away.
